Rabbi Boruch of Medzhybizh was a prominent figure in the Jewish community, serving as a rabbi from 1753 to 1811. As a grandson of the revered Baal Shem Tov, he played a significant role in the Hasidic movement. Rabbi Boruch is notable for being the first "rebbe" to establish his court in Mezhbizh, a town that held great significance as the hometown of his grandfather, the Baal Shem Tov.
