Polina Leschenko is a Russian pianist who was born in St Petersburg, a city steeped in musical heritage. Her early life was surrounded by music, as she was born into a family of musicians. This exposure sparked her interest in playing the piano, and she began her musical journey under the guidance of her father at the age of six. Her prodigious talent quickly became apparent, and she made her solo debut with the prestigious Leningrad Symphony Orchestra in her hometown of St Petersburg just two years later.

Leschenko's formal musical education was extensive and impressive. She had the opportunity to study with several renowned pianists and pedagogues, including Sergei Leschenko, Vitali Margulis, Pavel Gililov, Alexandre Rabinovitch-Barakovsky, and Christopher Elton. Her dedication and hard work paid off when, at the age of 16, she was awarded her Higher Diploma with the greatest distinction from the esteemed Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
